Starfallen, one and all, the DMs wish you a very happy and safe holidays!

In light of the present holiday season and with the unveiling of the Regains page, we'd like to announce a very small, handwaved event in the form of a regain!

The people of Concord feel doubly excited the more the day of the 21st grows near. When asked, they declare that the night of the 21st is the beginning of what is known as Yule. On that night, while everyone is asleep, a pair of benevolent fae leave tokens for everyone to set off the festivities come morning. Their names are "Red" and "Rue", and they hope you won't try pretending to sleep so you see them. Ruins the fun!

From the 21st to the end of the year is a time for celebration, drinking, feasting and making merry. Everyone has survived a very troubling year and with you the Starfallen in such great numbers, everyone can not help but see to the next year being the brightest yet. Enjoy the great food and the great times!

What does this mean for you? Simple: A free level 1 regain!

To redeem your free regain, simply reply to this post with an item from home your character would like to receive. Remember that this is a level 1 regain, and to get an idea of what that means, refer to our example from the regains page:

"A mundane item of commonplace functionality or purely sentimental value which is otherwise unexceptional. (Example: A photograph, a royal pendant, a smartphone)"

On the morning of the 22nd, your characters will find the item tucked away somewhere within their vicinity.

Kanji would like his handmade collar with tag. It's got nothing special about it (save that it stretches to fit him should he grow into his beast form), but it was a gift given to him and bears nothing aside from sentimental value.

In Kanji's fridge is a box of blue-raspberry topsicles. They appear to be handmade, so the flavor is more intense; they are grouped in twos, perhaps meant to split and share with friends...?

An old, well-worn and slightly ratty teddy bear that Corrin had a owned since she was a small child named Mr. Pookie.

Mr. Pookie sits on Corrin's bedstand, bearing a bright new red and green bow around his neck for the occasion!

In Corrin's fridge is a slice of pie top-dusted in confectioner's sugar. Guarding the top crust is a very proud little marzipan dragon.

A wooden mannequin, dressed in that at first appears to be fancy, flowing orcish shaman robes, but are actually a mishmash of scrap cloth, feathers, and fur made to look like robes. Might be mistaken for a person at a distance, though.

The mannequin sits at the foot of Velo's bed, which may give her a bit of a shock, but it bears a cheery red and green bow for the occasion and in apologies for the surprise.

In the fridge is a box of assorted chocolate cordials, each with a boozy shot inside. But the outsides are peculiar- they fizz and pop on the tongue when consumed... who knew you could eat firecrackers???

A supply of Low King's Reserve ale. It's a dwarven ale that has no effect on Cecil since it's made from ingredients dragons enjoy. In Cecil's case, it reminds him of the tree bark he used to chew on back with his clan.

The ale comes in a handsome bottle, sitting on the bedstand when Cecil awakes, ready to be consumed as is or chilled at their leisure.

A little bag of deep, dark, chewy chocolate stout brownie cookies lay in wait for Cecil as well.

In the fridge is a six-pack of Big City Soda in snazzy glass bottles. How long's it been since you've had one of these...?

Caduceus would be appreciative of either a vial of water, a bag of soil or bags of tea also from his family home, which is sacred land to his Goddess, the Wildmother, but would mean nothing to anyone else.

There's a bag of rich, aromatic soil sitting in a wicker basket on Caduceus' bedstand, and tucked beside it are fine silk bags of the most delicious-smelling tea.

Accompanying the gift is a platter of different tea-flavored shortbreads. Matcha shortbread? Earl grey? They've got it all. Caddy's just gotta follow his nose.

Meroon would like a bottle of wine from the Wizards of Wine vineyard the only good thing to ever come out of Barovia.

The wine is tucked into a bucket of ice on the bedstand. Emanating from the drink is the scent of the cask, crafted from the trees in the Svalich Woods. But which wine is it...? It certainly isn't Red Dragon Crush. Is- is this the famed Champagne du le Stomp?

Alongside is a platter of dark chocolate cookies, perfect for such a rich, sparkly drink.

It isn't what she would ask for, but what Ovelia will be (hopefully) getting is one blade of Ivalicean grass, cut to the perfect length to be used for a grass whistle.

The blade somehow remains intact in a tiny case on Ovelia's bedstand.

Alongside is a platter of two-bite tarts of a variety of fruit baked in each, perhaps meant to be shared with one other person.

Since the quarters look a bit drab and clean Zagreus would probably want to decorate a little so it's more like home! Why not dress up the walls with an Achilles Wall Scroll?

Alongside on the bedstand is a little plate of loukoumades, just as crispy and honeyed as he remembers them from home.

The spidersilk is bundled up gently in a basket at the foot of Pacca's bed.

On the bedstand is a plate of sugar cookies lavishly decorated as little elves, their cheery little faces almost begging her to eat them.
