There are plenty of Dark Mages in Nohr; in fact for the most part there are only Dark Mages. And yes, from what Corrin's seen most of them do tend to be somewhat dour, pragmatic, and even fatalistic folks (Leo and Nyx leap immediately to mind). But they still wield their sacred darkness wisely, and in defense and protection of the innocent. They can't save everyone—they haven't saved everyone—but they still willingly try, and put themselves directly in harm's way to do it. And for that, Corrin owes them her gratitude and her respect. And so it is the same with Knoll; here he is out in the darkness at an entirely unreasonable hour of the night when all sensible people would be asleep in their warm beds, because someone needs to watch out and keep the monsters at bay.

She doesn't truly know him yet, or the extent of Grado's misdeeds, but he is familiar to her all the same.

"Really? You should try it sometime." She smiles. "I find it relaxing. There's one song in particular I'm fond of...would you like to try giving it a shot? I may not be a professional songstress, but I can carry a tune at least."
