Guard duty is no big deal; while they're on the campaign, everyone pulls their weight around camp, be it manning the mess hall, acting as a quartermaster, or operating the lottery game to help keep morale up, royal family or not. Besides, Corrin likes the dark, it's a lovely night and there are so many stars out. It's for that reason, less than the money that Corrin decided to handle this particular job rather than the cute if fangy Rabites. Plus it gives her some one on one time with someone else in their rather peculiar situation.
"Hey. How are you holding up?" She asks her partner with a smile. "It's early goings yet, so let me know if you need a little wake-up. The night's still young." Corrin's always been something of a night owl anyway, though this has come at the expense of being pretty non-responsive for the first hour or two (or three) of the mornings for the most part. But right now at least, she's bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.

"Oh, this is so exciting!" Corrin does a spin, laughing, and arms outstretched on the ballroom floor. Her armour didn't pass muster, so she was allowed to take her pick of in-house attire, and eventually settled on an especially crisp Butler's uniform that reminded her more than a little of her dear retainer Jakob's attire (she refused the shoes, to the slight bewilderment of the staff, and left them in the changing room with her socks; this was non-negotiable on Corrin's part). "I've never been to a fancy party like this before, but it's always been my dream to!" She heard so many stories about the fancy black tie affairs held at Castle Krakenburg back home, like the annual Harvest Ball, but due to her "quarantine" in the Northern Fortress she'd never been allowed to attend.
Having finished her twirl, she stops to think. "I don't even know where I should start." She admits, mostly to herself (she thinks aloud a lot; there often wasn't anyone else to talk to in the Northern Fortress when her siblings weren't around and Jakob, Flora, Felicia Lilith and Gunter were occupied with other tasks). "Maybe I should start with some food? While it's early, there will still be plenty." But the sound of musicians tuning their instruments preparing for a set catches her attention, her pointed ears twitching with interest. "Oh, but there's music too, isn't there?" Her face lights up, her path set. "I need to work up an appetite first."
She approaches you and sticks out her hand. "Would you care to join me for a dance or two? I assure you I've been well-trained." Thanks to Xander and a few lovely afternoons with the others where he insisted on making sure his brother and sisters knew their way around a waltz.
